This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of creating an elegant yet playful Birthday Event for a little sweetheart of a girl named Charlotte who turned 4. We had tables set for a princess all at the perfect hight for little legs and arms, decorated with fairies, peter rabbits, mushroom houses, unicorns and pixies. The table was laiden with becautiful faux flower arrangements, sporting little fairies popping out from the bouquets, or preciously sitting atop a rose. Sparkly bedazzled rainbow drinking glasses, soft candles (unlit) on tall pedestals sat amongst the small woodland creatures adding a touch of elegance, and a stunning white princess chair for the birthday girl herself. The children lined up for fairy floss of 25 different flavours they could choose from, or snow cones of 17 different flavours to choose, or bags of hot buttery popcorn as they then headed to our beautiful Pixie for some intricate face painting art work. The cake came out and as everyone settled in after singing Happy Birthday, an intoxicating show of bubble blowing began. Our one of a kind Pixie blew bubbles through heart shaped hands, with rubber bands and ropes she created a magical display of hundreds of bubbles that had the little ones jumping and giggling for joy, chasing and popping bubbles the size of themselves as they slowly floated on the air till falling to the ground.
